Hi Rod, I've been listening to both versions of the death and resurrection of Christ that you sent me. Thanks again for that and indeed the rather splendid Penderecki at 80 collection. Reason for the mail is that I can't seem to find any details online regarding the version conducted by the man himself. Do you have any? Just my curiosity is all. Hope all is well. Best Dave H.

(Quote) Well that was disingenuous of them wasn't it? Having had a fair few problems with the old site I decided not to take them up on the Beta offer. I've just added a booster to this month's download onslaught but I'm going to be very care…

Saw this duo play under a railway arch in South Glasgow last weekend as part of the Counterflows festival. Had a chat and bought the cd afterwards and then kept bumping into them throughout the rest of the festival. On Erstwhile a label I haven't vi…

(Quote) If my Grandfathered plan goes down from 200 to 170 they may find I use Bandcamp more. Greg are you by any chance paying £19.99 for 100 tracks? I pay £39.99 for 200. Feel free not to answer of course.

Not seen any news as to how or why. A great shame.

(Quote) Most certainly. One of my fun trivia questions is "What links Pete Townshend, The Sex Pistols, Hawkwind and Vera Lynn?" The answer is that they all played one of Pete's anti drugs charity concerts down the road from me at Crystal Pala…

Cagely vinyl flac rip I discovered on one of my unsorted drives. Great stuff that I would have run away from as a youth. The door, the slope of the road, his grin; it all adds for some reason.

(Quote) A good listen too. £4.62 on the old Emu in the UK. I like the music but could have lived without the baby(?) coughing. With such quality control its no wonder Noel Akchote has 206 releases on Bandcamp. (Insert smiley of choice.)

Actually figured out how to get the Bandcamp app on my phone and stream this album while reading the interview in the latest Wire magazine; this is going it some for me. Not 100% convinced over all but it's very interesting with some of the arrange…

in What are you listening to right now? (15 Flies in the Marmalade) Comment by djh March 2017What's your take on the album cover? Purists hated it at the time.(Quote) Seconded. I was happily listening to it when my connection dropped out. It frequently happens to me specifically with Ubu links; any one else suffer like that? Anyway fine fine music.Sorry to hear your news Doofy. Its good to have musical memories though.I so wish I'd bought more Argo cds when they reinvented the label in the 90s. Not enough cash alas. I don't suppose they are available digitally?I hardly ever look at the digital side to my Wire subscription - which is silly because I miss out on things like this here mix by Adrian Sherwood and Pinch. It feels like a lifetime ago since I went to my one and only Notting Hill Carnival and watc…
