Ah, so square-bracket-quote must just be more semantic. But it is what it inserts when you press the 'quote' button...
The colour changes were more obvious when I was playing around directly and could see them in realti…OK, so I bumped the font size a tiny bit, made the background whitesmoke (no relation to White Snake), and the text greyer. This should reduce the contrast and hopefully make it a bit more pleasing to the eye. I'm going to be doing some weird stuff with colours and sizes and things for a bit. Expect things to be strange if you're viewing this at the moment.
Don't have f.lux running when you're messing with colours, a word from the wise...Well, I deliberately turned it on as an experiment. To see if it was preferred.
The options are wysiwyg (what it was until a day or two ago), bbcode (what it is now and I think similar to what it always used to be in the days of yore), m…I'll have a look tomorrow. And yeah, changing some colours should be easy, if putting custom CSS in is easy. I'll find out then.
As for the search, I'll do some digging and see how to make it stick.(Quote)
I'm wary of that one as it doesn't claim to be compatible with 2.2 (I wish they'd put some real metadata up so you can filter based on supported versions.) Also, customisable is great but means you need someone to customise itOr, if it's just colour (edit to add: or font, styling) tweaks that are required, I could probably put in a custom CSS if someone were to tell me what would suit.
