Oh, I’m bad at “top” lists, - especially because I listen in a different way than a lot of people I know,
but there are always bands that I come back to and are the usual “suspects” like Banco, PFM, Area,
Le Orme, Alphatarus, Goblin, Batt… -
I have an alphabetical list of some choice Italian Progressive Rock that I'll be listening to on random beginning tomorrow (I have a dinner date tonight). I know there's some missing (Goblin?), but this should keep me occupied for a while.
Well, there's always Bandcamp if your criteria goes beyond just reviewing the tunes.Remember that for years I've nearly always linked my covers to a source - usually, in the past couple of years, Bandcamp. It's why it gets frustrating sometimes when someone points out what they think is an exceptional album - only to leave you hang…I did like your lists, but they were for eMusic - which I've never used.
Spotify, on the other hand...Why not just go to the Bandcamp link?I used the "Batchcamp" app that I posted a few weeks ago
for the first time (I've been away in New Mexico) and it works
quite nicely. I was wondering how it would handle a large number
of items, but it seems to have done just fine wit…
Well, I didn't see those, but I did find this Bandcamp page.
Assuming it's the same guy.Reading in the latest issue of Audion about the band Poessitfous from the
late 70s/early 80s (yes, a decade later than our topic here).
You guys might want to check them out by starting in Favourite Rock Albums from the late 60s and early 70s Comment by rostasi October 2023I've always assumed that people downloaded their purchases.
Why purchase them if you don't actually keep them.
Are they just listened to online? ...and how is that different
from just listening in general?
Friendship
by Joseph Z…I’ll have to check that out. I can use it in the Nov. 8 show.
Oct. 18 has no theme. Oct. 25 is spoken word for the
Southwest Word Fiesta festival that happens for three days
in Silver and Nov 1 is for Dia de Muertos celebrations. Thanks @djh! I think lots of us are busy these days with all kinds of things,
so thanks for having the interest!in Random Radio Comment by rostasi October 2023
(Quote) Funny that you mention him. I make my shows weeks ahead of their broadcast
and tomorrow night I mention his Swedish/Argentinian background after playing
some of his music. Fine performer.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yup. I agree. Thanks for the info. I'm in the middle of track 4
and I can already tell that this is gonna get some airplay on "Random..."
thanks again!…
