That reminds me, I should upload Eliza Carthy's Red Rice to Google Music...

Anyone hit RSD yesterday? I tried Scotti's first thing in the morning but the line was too long, so I came back later. Managed to grab Feistodon as well as 7"s from Marco Benevento, Sufjan Stevens/Rosie Thomas, The Flaming Lips and a 10" from The Da…

I've listened to Daytrotter sessions for years. It's a great site. Believe it or not, they only became a pay site a few months ago (I think they used to sell FLAC copies of the sessions, but the mp3s were always free). I haven't signed up yet becaus…

I keep forgetting to kit up Spinner. But this week they've got the new Quantic & Alice Russell - SWEET!
Also a new Yppah release... -

Remember when the daily deals were usually $1.99? -
This thread explains some of the more recent followers of my account. I should tweet some cool music-y stuff.

I'd post mine, but you'd have to squint down the road for just a glimpse of some messy hedges and part of the roof. They haven't bothered to turn right yet...

I've said many times in the past, Trent Reznor's legacy will be turning industrial music more easily digestible pop music.
That clip is TOTALLY AWESOME!! -
The Alice in Chains Unplugged is very overlooked - largely because the Nirvana one is so (rightfully) praised from that time period. But I prefer a number of the acoustice AiC versions to their album counterparts.

Booby Previte? I am intrigued...
Actually that's pretty tempting now that he's selling those albums on Bandcamp to upgrade to FLAC for one of my favorite eMu acquisitions. -
James Blake - S/T
No cover art since I've got to phone this in. I'm now playing around with Google Music again so that I can stop paying for Spotify. -
I like the vibe she's going for, but don't think it really works. Probably because it's too forced. Unfortunately she has set herself up with the wrath of a scorned Interwebs. How dare you misuse our precious hype machine?!?! And now she will never …

I was just listening to some old lady cover Madonna.. It was... awkward.

There were a number of albums I was thinking of picking up... oh well. Annoyed with myself for not grabbing the deluxe version of the latest from Florence. Up to 15 bucks or so. For mp3? Give me a break.
I'm buying more vinyl these days … -
Got Wunderbaum on now. Very nice. Forgot how awesome it was to actually listen to other people's recs!
-
Sweet! But damn those songs should be longer. It feels like he cuts them off a minute or 2 early.
-
Holy carp, I've been away far too long... so much to read about...
-
Does this mean I should come back, too?...
-
Just coming on here to post that one. Will be my second kickstarter project I'm backing. I need to check out more of the music ones.
-
@Germanprof - I'll write more about it later, but definitely go if you can. Washed Out was very cool and Cut Copy was just plain awesome.

@elwood - I always hated when I would dress up one day and then end up working in the ceiling running cables...

Highly recommended! I've already listened to it twice today - and I can really only listen to 2 albums a day lately!

It's a shame, I love ties. But for some reason it is the new norm for professionals to wear blazers with dress shirts and no ties. Ditch the jackets and keep the ties!

Bandcamp caters to the self-release crowd, so the amount of garbage is going to be up there with Amie Street. So far I've pretty much skipped trying to just scan the site and instead opt to have it filtered via blogs, labels and (of course) you guys…

I'm not seeing it there, but I do see it all the way at the bottom on the right (while it used to be at the top). Also, it's returned to the Android app - which is more important because I've found that's the easiest way for me to keep track.
-
@choiceweb0pen0 - I picked it up and really enjoyed it (although I haven't made it to the bonus material). But same thing as amclark - I like loud and aggressive music.
@elwood - I agree. I think I'm coming into this place at a time of real transition. They just haven't had the man power to do everything they wanted to in the past and have relied…@Daniel - Bandcamp is as safe as any other site to order from. Personally I always save the zips to a download folder and then unzip them to my music folder (and then perform any …
