Think it might have started now!
I was looking at Monday's new releases earlier, but when I came back to the site around 3pm (UK time) it was completely borked - couldn't log in either.
Definitely seemed different from the usual si… -
I'll happily pass over the site update reins - I've been avoiding it for well over a year!
We're hosted on Eythian's server, so if we can sort out who wants to try and not break things, I'll clear the access etc with him.
As for re… -

Dear Mr Bono,
On listening to your song 'Vertigo', I found the opening lyrics "Uno, dos, tres, Catorce!" to be bafflingly incorrect.

Oh well, looks like Play aren't as silly as I'd like.
My original order shows as cancelled and even though the album is still listed it becomes 'not available' when you try to buy it.
Might just get Blonde On Blonde and the Best of the M… -

We have a group? Who knew?
Joined it now, but I rarely use last.fm despite having scrobbling turned on most of the time.
Also, still never used ratings or play counts and gave up adding tags for where stuff came f… -
No, still doing the manual thing.
Even reading your new post about smart playlists etc makes my eyes glaze over and my brain explode.
Despite you saying it's fun, my brain just sees WORK.

It's all about the subliminal.
Which sounds like a really cool house/techno sub-genre :-) -
Thanks mommio!
And yes, I certainly hope this thread is just for fun.
Otherwise I'd have to do some work around here. -
but if anybody wants to go and buy a domain, 'emusick' is available in all flavours apart from .com

I vote we keep it as 'emusers' and just change what we all think it means.
Much less work/hassle for me and I could knock up a whole new batch of silly graphics and/or subtitles using the best suggestions if you like.

I was pleasantly surprised at the bonus system for my UK annual account.
I expected to be told the old 90 a month grandfathering was gone for good, but instead they're giving me extra credit to the value of more than double what I actually pay… -
Maybe that's the problem amclark2 is having as well?
If not and you can really only use 1 code per account, then if anybody who hasn't had one wants it, just let me know. -
Posted mine off today and received my first one at the weekend!
I'll put pics/tracks up soon.
Pics and tracklist are up in the Flickr Group. -
"Doesn't the UK often not want to be in Europe?"
Sadly yes.
Personally I'd be in favour of a great big United States of Europe (well, maybe just the good bits), but I seem to be in a minority. -
If you really WANT a 'whirling dervish' category, of course you can have one :-)
Unless Turkey win Eurovision this weekend (which nobody really cares about), in which case you can't, because Turkey is famously Not In Europe despite all t… -
I'm in too :-)
Glad to see everyone's still keeping things ticking along nicely here. -
In my defence, I haven't been keeping up with the boards on emu or here lately.
So apologies if I missed an apocalypse or two. -
Welcome Ray, I did think twice-ish before approving your application, but hey, what's the worst that can happen :-)
Everybody play nice now. -
I MUST spend more time listening to the music I've got instead of just acquiring more :-)
Luckily for me, my grandfathered emu 90/month annual account refreshed in december (UK), so I'll still be getting plenty of cheap music from there.… -
I've pretty much given up with amie.
They occasionally get an album I want, but almost all the interesting stuff is n/a in the UK.
At current levels of downloading the $15 or so that's been sitting in my account for the last couple of mo… -
I'm with NankerP on this one.
Always managed my ipods manually, never saw the appeal/need for automating it. It just seemed to overcomplicate things for me.
Same with smart playlists, I have a few very simple ones but everything else I r… -
TWO FUCKING DOLLARS!!!
BASTARDS!
They're charging 4 pounds in the UK advent calendar!
Which is cheap for over here, but still...

No need to restrict things to emusic downloads, any old product will do as long as it was released this year!

"how is their #1 album of last year #98 for the entire decade?"
They've partially come to their senses?
And I agree with Daniel, The Notwist - Neon Golden should be MUCH higher. That album was a fixture on my first 2 iPods! Thanks Froggie!
Didn't quite need more cash in my account yet, but it was getting close.
Still very slim pickings at Amie here in the UK, but there's usually something every few days worth snagging.
