Dear Lilly,
Thanks for the quick reply and the refund. I don't mean to be churlish, but what exactly am I supposed to do with €0.42? Every track on eMusic costs €0.49.

Comments

  • Invest that money, young man, and as the stock market goes up up up, up to the stars, one day that .42 will buy you a .99 track at Amazon! Think big, kid. Yer goin' to the top. The top, I say!
  • I can only guess that someone in eMu Customer Service thinks (s)he's being clever by making an oblique reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
  • One of many examples for why the credit system was simpler for everyone concerned.
  • And they all lived happily ever after:

    Hi ,

It was our error. I adjusted it to €0.49.

    Regards,

(I assume CS was thinking in UK terms, where all tracks are £0.42)
  • Probably they were confused by the limey accent so typical of your text speech patterns. Most of the time, I can barely understand what the hell you're saying myself.
  • Episode Two:

Tracks 2 and 5 supposedly downloaded correctly, but they are both truncated even though the file info says they're the right length. I don't have a red "retry download" button. Prior to the no-redownload policy I've had this problem and been able to solve it without going through CS. Please let me redownload these again, thanks.

Response (in under 4 hours, it must be said):

    Thanks for your message.

I've added $1.38 to your account so that you can redownload them ...

    **********************************************************************************

In fact, she added €1.38. Each track is €0.49. So I have €0.40 left, which I can't use and will go back to emusic next month. This is how they make their profits!
