I was pleasantly surprised at the range of Prime albums when I took a little tour last month - stuff from Ravi Shankar to Black Sabbath. It doesn't behoove me that much since I don't actually listen at the computer that much - I use the Amazon Music channel via the Roku box more (which also surprised me with music from CDs I bought not recently - it does confuse cuts from different releases with the same title though sometimes), and, yes, I don't have a "mobile device" I listen to music through - yet. Check out the Bargain Bin section of their CDs - there is a serious amount of good stuff for $5 or even less. Alas many are selections I paid more for back in the day.
I use the video streaming service quite a bit (or at least the family does), spread out over a year it is about what netflix and hulu cost, plus you get all the other benefits of prime, including the music and shipping. I also bought an Echo (the new voice activated device from Amazon), which is pretty cool and uses your music in the Amazon Cloud effectively.
Whew, finally after seemingly endless hours, my entire music collection (about 45,000 songs) is up on Amazon's cloud. If only had done this sooner, then again when I had DSL, it was nearly an impossible task.
