What an interesting pair. The first one recorded in Indianapolis 1957, the second the following year in LA. All 3 Montgomery Bros are on both albums, but what a difference.
"Dona Nostra" has one of the best opening tracks ever. The album runs out of gas before it reaches the finish line, but I always go back to it because it opens so strongly.
NP:
I think I was put off this for a while by the horrible cover art, which looks like a failed high school design project. But I picked up a used CD copy and am enjoying it.
Opener for FKA twigs when I saw her on Friday. He was a complete unknown until Beyonce released her surprise album and he had more production credits on it than anyone. Album's okay, but nothing special.

This is good. Really, really good.
Marianne Trudel - "La Vie Commence Ici"
-Set of resonant piano tunes, strongly enhanced by the trumpet contribution from Ingrid Jensen.

Reto Suhner & Fabian M. Mueller - "Schattenspiel"
-Beautiful sax-piano duet album.
And, actually, I'm just realizing that Mueller is a member of Augur Ensemble, who recently put out an excellent album, The Daily Unknown...
Emil De Waal + Gustaf Ljunggren and Søren Kjærgaard Feat. Elith "Nulle" Nykjær
-Oh my god, you have no idea.
