The Harry Partch Appreciation Society is a loose assemblage
of mechanically-minded musicians endlessly in pursuit of the unheard,
and sometimes the unseen. Inspired by the methodology and musical
compositions of American Avant-Garde composer and instrument-builder
Harry Partch, the Society chose his name as both a fitting moniker and
homage.
All instruments are original designs and are
hand-assembled by Society members. All recordings are made using these
instruments and occasionally include factory-made percussion instruments
in addition.
