I would be grateful for any advice and insight into shopping for music on Discogs

So, I believe I've only recently discovered that Discogs has a marketplace.  Or perhaps I knew a while back and forgot.  What's important here, however, is I have no experience purchasing music on Discogs, and related, nor have I purchased anything on eBay or any kind of online marketplace.  Wait, no, actually, just a couple weeks ago, I made my first purchase on Etsy.  But that's it.  By all measures, I'm a newbie.
It would be helpful if there's any insight or advice you could give on Discogs.
I am currently looking at seller Rowdy7698 - https://www.discogs.com/user/Rowdy7698
They look pretty legit.  They're based in the U.S. (as am I), which probably helps with shipping costs.
They have a mint condition of Andy Summers "Mysterious Barricades," which I have been unable to find anywhere in brick & mortar, plus it never retailed digitally.  I'm looking, also, to see what else they have to sell, as there are a handful of other hard-to-find items I'd like to scoop up.
Gracias de antemano.

  • Unrelated to the topic at hand, today I learned that the band Devotchka was from Denver, and Ron Miles contributed to one (or more) of their recordings.
It is very possible that I saw them live back in the day and don't remember.
Anyways, searching on Discogs for Ron Miles recordings turned this tidbit of information up.
  • I’ve bought things sporadically on discogs, never had a problem. Pay for stuff, it comes in the mail.

Never had problems either. You just kinda look at the seller's ratings and sometimes comments from folks - just like on eBay. Sometimes a good sign is if they have an actual physical business somewhere in a city or town, but that's not a guarantee ... so, again, ratings and comments.
  • Without having any explanation or basis for thinking so, I operated under a pretty firm belief that there would be explicit rules of engagement for purchasing music on this site lol.  Instead, it's everything I already did.  Seller reviews look okay?  Sure, I guess.  They look legit?  Sure, I think so.  Excellent, then lets hit the purchase button.
My first Discogs purchase will be a random assortment of music.  The driving force behind it all was scooping up a (long-desired) copy of the Andy Summers immensely captivating new age recording "Mysterious Barricades."  I also grabbed a copy of the Don Cherry/Anders Jormin ECM release "Dona Nostra," which has an opening piece that still haunts my memories with its beauty thirty years after I first heard it.  Plus, I recently decided I'd like to revisit Lyle Lovett's "Joshua Judges Ruth," which I enjoyed quite a bit back in the nineties and scooped up for a few bucks.  Also, one of Lonnie Liston Smith's cosmic jazz recordings (Expansions?  I already forget), which I've been getting back into.  I grabbed a cheap disc by Lucinda Williams and a cheap comp by Caetano Veloso.  Just kind of wanting to see about getting both of them into my listening queue.  I grabbed a cheap copy of a live Leo Kottke recording that, one, somehow disappeared from my shelves, and two, is wonderful, and three, I was present at when he recorded it at the Boulder Theater.  I grabbed "Hotel Vast Horizon" by Chris Whitley, which I was surprised to discover I didn't own, plus some cheap copies of albums by Stone Temple Pilots (guilty pleasure) and The Verve ("Northern Soul," which I probably own but I'm tired of searching the shelves and storage boxes for it).
