  • Going back to page 1, with Guvera's help I found selfmojo's rec of "Clara Clairvoyant" by Donovan. Very nice!

    - May she rest in peace.
  • I'm a bit more partial to the fluffiness of this one:

  • Pretty tough to argue with either of them for sugary pop perfection!

    Craig
  • I agree with that!

...and here's something that goes right to the heart of the matter.
  •

John Cale & Brian Eno - Spinning Away

  • Yes, it was too!  Quite a little stir this tune caused when it came out, for those of you who weren't there.  Everybody liked it, filled up the dance floor when it was played.  And then the commercials started....
  •

Honeycombs - Have I The Right

Bel Canto - Shimmering, Warm and Bright

    - Featuring the amazing Annelie Drecker

Eta: Oh yes, and also Geir Jensen aka. Biosphere.
  • Carpark North - Transparent & Glasslike

    A danish one hit wonder.

    The Eagles - Hotel California

    RIP Glenn Frey

BTW: this is the song  Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull claims that it was stolen from a Tull song, or at least the guitar chords.

We Used To Know - Jethro Tull

  • I certainly hear the point BN! So similar....
  • I was at a Tull show many years ago where Ian Anderson promised that he would invite us all to dinner if he ever got what rightfully belonged to him.

The issue is backed up by the fact that Hotel California was released shortly after Eagles was support band on a Tull tour
  • Ian Anderson is famous for having one of the best royalty rates in music, one of those who never got ripped off, owns lots of land in Scotland
