    I once played Blondie's guitar. Well not really, I did play the guitars seen on this cover; a friend of mine bought them from the photographer. Lame story, but it's the first thing that pops into my head when I think of Blondie.

    Confession, made reluctantly: I must have been the only hormonally distressed teenager of my era (1st generation punk/new wave/whatever wasn't AOR schlock) who neither liked Blondie nor lusted after Debbie Harry. Come to think of it, even many of the stoner/Skynyrd/Zep forever crowd had the hots for her. Oh, the shame of it...

    @Rudie: Is it just my addled memory, or weren't there any young hotties being peddled to us back then? My memory of the late 70s is that all the poster queens were over 30, like Debbie Harry.

    Anyone else remember differently?

    Indeed, 'twould seem to be Kylie, who, if not necessarily prettier, has modeling chops that Debbie Harry never dreamed of. I always laugh at the video for Heart of Glass, where Deb is "dancing" for the camera. No wonder most of the video is shot in close-up.
