In addition to all the credits eMu is giving away for rating albums, liking on Facebook, and taking the A + R survey, I just got a 15 credit "You Rock" bonus. It appears I'm not the only one.
Well, Pilgrim, I don't know but I had to laugh at the depth of Mr. Sucklechimp's vitriolic rant. At this point in the day I need a chuckle. I don't know what he's got his wipes in a twist about, but I too rock. Craig, thank you for posting that picture in the Outlaw Country post, where we were discussing bear, as opposed to bare, ass. It was precisely the one I had in mind.
I rock too. May get The Kinks Muswel Hillbillies. Just rewatched the Darjeeling Limited which has three Kinks's songs. I don't know why, but I couldn't find an MP3 version of their album Village Green Preservation Society. Must be a money maker still.
I've got 3 different emu accounts so I rock x 3. Yow. I might splurge on something that's more than 12 credits. Maybe Calexico - The Black Light. I already have it, but Giant Sand's Is All Over The Map would be good way to spend 15 credits.
i haven't cruised the back roads of emusic in a while; it looks like they snuck in the rest of the Treat Her Right catalogue.
I'm going to use my u-rocks to pull what I need from them.
choiceweb0pen0: Muswell is great; the bonus tracks fit in nicely...
I just cleared an old one off my SFL (Celibate Rifles). Sounds pretty good so far. Got the 15 freebies for rocking plus the 5 from Facebook. I think I've got 10 more coming for rating 10 albums. No complaints here.
Good news on the Treat Her Right calalogue. Tied To the Tracks is one of my all-time faves. I have the others on CD but I may have to check out The Lost Album.
I was gonna link to that one in yer other thread. For those of you skeptical of d/ling because you want the liner notes, remember that Smithsonian Folkways provides them for free on their website.
Somewhere I have a project halfway done that consists of the a mash-up of this album and one of the farting albums.
I dare anyone to listen to it more than 30 seconds without bursting out laughing. I saved it somewhere when I was forced to reimage my computer years ago, but can't find it now. Eventually I'll find it and finish the project.
not on emusic, AFAIK. i'll bet it's great, tho. i'd take the palenque disc over the cumbia disc, but maybe that's because -- of cumbia discs -- i heavily favor this one
I'm so overwhelmed with all the great African compilations. I'd like to get something in that vein but how to choose? Then I stumbled across this. And this. And this. And it goes on and on!
frogkopf: Since you originally mentioned the frog/fart mashup back when the frog album first showed up, I haven't been able to listen to the frog album without cracking up. I hope you find the file.

Add to that rumors of another major label, and one begins to smell change in the air...

Disclaimer: I am not intentionally or unintentionally cyberstalking anyone by mentioning Ray or Sucklechimp.

Also, Sucklechimp is damaged by Post Modernism, and I'm not sure what Ray's deal is - maybe too much Minnesota nice?
Personally I thought Sucklechimp was just bored - too much creative effort put into that post.
which
one
?
I am going to need more freebies...
But what about the 5 freebies for the tell us what you think
And the 10 freebies for rating albums with stars
Is this supposed to cover everything or do I get more crack
I'm going to use my u-rocks to pull what I need from them.

I don't get the whining about free credits or tracks, it's what makes the price hikes more bearable, especially since I've been on the 24 DL plan.
(of course in Minnesota, we say you guys, not y'all....)

Aside from jazz recs, sucklechimp is the only reason I keep returning to the emu forum.
