@amclark, I have a funny relationship with that album. I rarely play it "on purpose," but I always enjoy it when it comes up. In this and other albums, I'm note sure I really connect with Konitz, or his sound, or something. In a review on Amazon, someone mentions that the horn is tuned sharp, possibly on purpose (???).
Crimson Razorback is a swedish artist whose experimentation with synthesizers and heavy distortion, created an undying passion for music and a special sound.
Now Playing: Crimson Razorback's Road To Nowhere, my very last Amie Street purchase.
@elwoodicious, the 'Three Violin Ragas' are a mere 3 credits at eMu. I am a man on a mission with a BB card, and that's the kind of stuff I am clearing out.
I love Raga Hemavati too, it has become one of my morning mainstays. It was recc'd by someone around here...if you, thanks for that!
I can stop any time I want, but I actually went by my local BB this morning, where they still had $30 cards a few months ago. No eMu cards of any kind, just Napster and of course iTunes....

See that? It's me on the bandwagon. But you know what's different about it? Yeah, that's right I'm making chana masala while listening to it.
Thus cementing my tendency towards being "alternative" I am going to wrap up my dinner with tapioca pudding and Andrew Hill.
Disc 3.
Again, because it is so damn fine.
Thinking about sending my head off into the troposphere with some more cold medicine, it was so much fun this morning.
Beautiful ... and free.
Drumbo-city of refuge
rough and rubbery, left corner blues from some of the Captain's men;
Bill Harklerod (Zoot Horn Rollo) never ceases to please.
Morning raga. Will make a point of getting this one at eMu on my way out the door.
Raga Hemavati is one of my favs.
Listening to what cold meds feel like.
I am so on the bandwagon...
Nyman and an accordion trio.

Awesome record. I'm playing it a second time.

I was DL'ing a Mingus album this morning, and was disappointed to see he's not currently on tour either.
