Europa 51 - "Abstractions"
I picked this up on emusic last month...
Europa 51 - "Abstractions"
Primary band members are also in Stereolab. The album has all the bouncy poppiness of a Stereolab album, and threw in some folky pedal steel guitar for flavor. A very infectious album. Myself, this really isn't the kind of music I'm into these days, but this group really broke down my resolve to use my monthly credits on it and they didn't have to try very hard neither.
Here's a site that will allow you to listen to the entire album (legally)...
http://www.lorecordings.com/popup3.php?album=47
Actually, that whole lo-rec site is pretty awesome for discovering new music.
Here's the emusic page...
