Re. the Death of Patience: I'm not sure if anybody else likes that kind of noise, but if you do the entire album I now free at FMA: http://bit.ly/1Igs4pd
Between Kamasi and Andreya, it is shaping up to be a good year for natural hairstyles in the best of 2015!
Meanwhile, new eMu discovery on Fresh Sounds...two late 50s albums by Chicago's own wonderful Johnny Griffin
eta, Didn't realize when I posted the above, they are both on the same label, Ninja Tune. At least for Kamasi, CD set was reasonably priced ($15 I think, after conversion) w/ free shipping. http://ninjatune.net/shop
Lowlife and Thom - her previous album was great too, also available at emusic in the UK. In some respects she reminds me a little of Amy Winehouse. I'd love to hear her play live with a big band.
@greg - Oh yes, I've been a fan for a number of years based on her work with Bonobo. She sang on a few tracks for his Black Sands album and then he produced her first album. Thanks to Drip I had been listening to some of this album before its release.
@Doofy - You got me excited about Kamasi Washington being on Ninja Tune, but he's actually on Brainfeeder so that's why it hasn't been dripped. Guess I'll have to buy it the old fashioned way!
Oh, these label arrangements...Too much for my poor head. In any case, I was pretty pleased with being able to order that 3-disc set at such a reasonable price, with free shipping.
Just surfacing from a particularly unpleasant migraine this morning. Thank goodness for ambient/drone music, if the only choices were silence or something with a beat this morning would have really sucked.
ETA, apparently Autumnal has actually finished and I am now listening to The Green Kingdom - Prismatic

You were all right. This is fantastic.

Songs of the Humpback Whales
Thanks Greg, this sounds really good, rejoined E Music so I could get this
Kamasi Washington - The Epic, think this one will be on my 2015 best list
Speaking of No Wave...

Geelriandre - Arthesis

The Shins - Oh Inverted World
