Just discovered that my local library has pulled out of Freegal - that's a blow. I was planning to finish Christian Sands latest album today. I suppose I'll have to finish it at Amazon.

What a miss, Doofy! I do wonder if eMusic are hoping to cover their costs by the increase in value of Emus - I'm sure Soulcoal will have a more informed view than me. To me though that would be a very risky strategy if I am right.

Interesting statistic from Bandcamp - Fans have spent $7.2 million in the last 30 days. I suspect that is a turnover that eMusic has probably never reached. If over a whole year at that rate, it would be more that $85 million

The key question surely is will there be any return of labels soon after November 20th? There is no way I would even contemplate returning without that.

Plong42 - Nguyen Le album is still available at eMusic. ACT is one of the few decent labels actually left there. I downloaded it a few weeks back, good use of my limited credit!

Similarly, I've just ordered a CD on Ebay. Charity shops are a good source too. But I've always used those to supplement eMusic. What they do not provide is the range of, eg, jazz releases that I bought from eMusic. I will end up buying less using B…Cher - BelieveYes there are people I miss too - Craig, although I do see of his Twitter comments, Bad Thoughts, Elwoodicious and others.
