Totally appropriate, and not unprecedented.
I've actually been getting emails from Martin, and I check out the music. That birdistheworm email is the correct one. The thing is, the inbox is such an avalanche of music, I never respond to emails. So, sometimes people may get the feeling like the my inbox isn't the right place. You can let him know he's on my list of labels to check out, and his emails are exactly what I need.
Cheers,
Dave

HEY! They have a new album. Was listening to an older one, and just for shits and giggles, hopped over to their site to see what's up with them, and there it is:Gross! Hercules "Entertained" Three Thessalians (Odin Saw).
This album never fails to charm me.As this album comes to its conclusion, I realize that I have listened to it countless times and it still blows me away. It really is a modern jazz masterpiece.Surrender Terse Argumentative Now, Cede Everything.

No, many of your comparisons/criticisms are valid. Blade Runner is great on many levels. Altered Carbon, like many cyberpunk shows/movies that followed it, clearly borrow from it. One thing that does emerge from Altered Carbon, however, is the cl…I really liked S1. I mean, it wasn't deep or anything, and the storyline got a little contrived toward the end, but it was a decent Netflix-original type of show. But S2 is awful. Actually the quality drop-off from S1 to S2 of Altered Carbon is a…Has anybody already binge watched the second season of Altered Carbon. I just watched the first episode of S2 and it was awful, then skimmed through EP2 and it was even worse. They stripped that show of everything that made it cool and fun for S1.…(Quote)
This is a very fun album. I'm interviewing them for a write-up for The Bandcamp Daily, and there's some fun background to this recording... including what appears to be a Machiavellian plan by Chris Schlarb to the get the quart…(Quote)
I had never seen it move that fast. It was dizzying to watch. Especially if you were trying to see if any of the album covers caught your eye. Remember the old emusic home page with the block of tiny album cover thumbnail ima…eMusers favorites I Think You're Awesome have a new album out, and bring a string quartet with them.Yeah. Fuck.Obviously, my intro to Tyner was via Coltrane. But Tyner's "The Real McCoy" was one of the first purchases I made when my casual jazz interest started becoming a growing addiction. Tyner was one of my first deep dives ap…Well let's find out. I posted a query to artists & labels about whether eMusic appears to be on track with payments. Asked in on the BitW facebook and twitter accounts. We'll see what people say, if anything.
Has it ever been confirmed that they, still, are not paying out revenues to artists, labels, rights-holders? I mean, I know they weren't for that time. Curious if that's changed?Nightly, Iridescent Ghosts Haunt The Hallways, Abruptly Waking Kindly Sleepers
Yeah, you gotta do some cleanup work with the tagging on the compilations. I think what happens there is that the originals have a title like this:Probably the best place to start is with the two compilation albums that Thesis Project released a little ways back. They each capture one track each of the different collaborations to that point, and provide as an excellent introduction to wh…
