Totally appropriate, and not unprecedented.
I've actually been getting emails from Martin, and I check out the music. That birdistheworm email is the correct one. The thing is, the inbox is such an avalanche of music, I never respond to emails. So, sometimes people may get the feeling like the my inbox isn't the right place. You can let him know he's on my list of labels to check out, and his emails are exactly what I need.
Cheers,
Dave

Now listening to a new Rob Mazurek, who is pretty much godlike from a music perspective in my eyes. A live trio set. He really gets a good drone going, seems to be going more for the ambient tones of the instrument. He's joined by an electric bas…

This next one is pretty good, too.
BeBuTa - "Gone"
It's a quintet led by pianist Soren Bebe. Some familiar names in the group. Modern stuff, but not obnoxious about it. I almost gave up after the (boring) first track, but … -
Currently listening to a solo album by saxophonist Marcel-li Bayer entitled "1680." It was recorded in a small 11th Century church in Spain (I think). It's really good so far. If I had to compare it to something, it would be a less-effect-y John …

I was gonna respond to that tweet, but I couldn't stop laughing. I swear to god, just the sight of the word "monies" drives me to tears. Inexplicable, I know, but that's where we find ourselves.

I'll second that Roy & Diz for sure.
The "Newport Rebels" is a classic. It's got kind of an interesting story behind it, for sure, and the line-up is outstanding. My only concern would be that it might not be the Roy you're looking… -
