Yeah, I gave up on the Daily Deal, but now I keep getting $2.99 deals or the $5 deals when it's something I really want or have a code.

Here I thought I had "Giant Steps", but to my chagrin was missing it. Thanks for the pointer.
I read that review, too. I love when people try to qualify that they do in fact like a wide range of music and then present a list that is anyt… -

@Elwood - how's that fac comp? I keep meaning to order it.

I've said it before, people make way too many assumptions one way or the other about how the monies flow. None of us know for sure how eMusic's (or any other music service's) balance looks/works.
I wonder if "he who shall not be named bu… -
TMT can be fun to read, but they often seem more concerned with the image of their reviews than anything. They remind me more of McSweeney's than a music blog.

@lowlife - I love that score by James Horner, but Celine Dion absolutely killed that song. Her voice did not fit the music in any way shape or form.

Definitely props to Adele. Her first album was also my first real freebie on AmiesStreet!

@Craig - I figured if I got it you would definitely. Otherwise I'll take a picture of mine and send it to you...
I got an email from Morr letting me know that I'll be getting one of the totes. Then today I just found a package from Domino in my mail box at work. It's the flexidisc zone! Very cool. I almost bought it on RSD, too. Hopefully the rest of you that …Some great albums listed so far. Glad to see some Aphex Twin and Seefeel represented here. I was going to list a few, but if you're going to hold me to one I'll go with:
in Essential 90s? Comment by thomnottom June 2012Nice find BT. Weird that it's a "local" deal and didn't seem to care that I'm in Jersey. Not only does drip.FM not need the majors, but it's business model wouldn't work for them at all. And I doubt many of the people interested in it would want the majors anyway. And this isn't to bash major labels, simply pointing out that a download …Not to gush too much, but I commented about a missing file from Domino and they already fixed it. And a day after signing up with Ghostly they unlocked 2 additional albums, a single, and some live tracks. Between this and Bandcamp I'm beginning to t…If anyone is interested in Domino, Morr or Ghostly I'd recommend signing up today. New releases for Domino and Morr today and Ghostly in a day or so means that the ones available will change soon and you may miss out on something up now.
…Hopefully this time I won't disappear again in 2 days
Definitely intrigued by that, especially with your comparison to Blo…Holy carp, that's awesome! I was buying almost everything that came out of Domino when they were on eMu (and I think Amie). Oddly enough, I never got that Wild Beasts - just the first one. So that's a total no brainer. I'm going over the top right n…I don't see this becoming the primary source of music for listeners or income for bands and labels. All of my favorites bands got together and dec…I would love twitter even more if they hadn't sent me an e-mail on Wednesday that Sargent House had tweeted about a sale last weekend. Apparently all digital albums were $1.99 last weekend...Yeah, I don't necessarily need all of the labels, but I'm already looking at doing 3 of them for a month. One of them does reissues of funk and psych music from around the world. And they have a 4 disc set up there right now.I remember thinking that RAID was totally awesome and meant that data was completely secure from drive failure. Then I had a drive go bad and realized that all redundancy had just flown out the window.
The new storage system we're settin…Funny, I was going to start a thread asking if anyone has used drip.FM yet. I keep putting it off, but there's even more cool labels up there now. I'd love it if they could tie all of them together for like 25 bucks a month.I had no idea mTracks had Ghostly International. Between them, kranky and Fat Cat I could probably get a couple months out of them. Assuming they can swing by Micro Center sometime this month and buy another drive I'll re-join for a bit.
…I'm terrible at just about everything these days...
As for the main topic here, how much does eMu suck these days? Is it even worth it for me to try again? I feel like I'm just standing on the sidelines missing out on great new music now…
