I think this was a Europe/Japan only release in 1980s, no longer available, to support a tour. I only have it on LP so I've transferred to digital. Many tracks were also released as part of B sides on 12 inch singles - those were the days!!
I decided to post a sampling of some Hawaiian jazz. "Why Hawaiian?" you ask, well, I've noticed that a lot of people who like Western Swing also tend to like Hawaiian music. Strangely enough the two styles have a lot in common. Both share similar instruments and both are hybrids of styles combining rural/native Folk music, Jazz and Blues. Many of Western Swing's pioneering steel guitarists learned by playing from hawaiian music lessons, and many of those steel players returned to Hawaiian music in the years that Western Swing fell out of fashion. So that said I hope those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure of discovering Hawaiian Jazz enjoy these 16 songs.

Belgiums finest psychedelic art and music outfit present their second album with a blend of cinematic space rock jams and hallucinatory atmospheres that induce the experience of ancient rituals."
@Brighternow, the name of the band might be an allusion to Günter Grass - don't know if you've seen the movie of The Tin Drum, but there's a rather revolting sequence involving the use of a severed horse head to catch eels, vomiting, and incest. Charming film. Or maybe it's just referring to that method of catching eels.
It happened. I clicked on a spotify ad. Send the men in white coats if this continues.
It's actually not bad so far, despite its lack of spelling prowess.
Time was when I played my LP of this so much that the sound eventually started to degrade. No surprise that it was one of the first CDs that I bought. I still remember most of the words.
I hope you like it BT. Kate Rusby will feaure prominently in my mext MIG folk article
I've been in visiting my mother in hospital, so played Amy Winehouse Frank followed by a selection of Four Tops Hits on the journey. Now home, so I'll follow BT's leadand play some Kate Rusby
My father passed away last week, so I've been a little unenthusiastic about music. My family isn't orthodox enough to sit shiva fully. However, the body hasn't been released (happened over the holidays, and budget cuts are making it impossible for the coroner to work in a timely manner)--we still don't know when there will be a funeral. So I'm still listening. My father was very much into the 50s/60s folk revival, a fan of the Clancy Brothers, Kingston Trio, Limelighters, etc. Not to say anything about the quality of the album, but all these things are clouding how I hear Rusby.

What a lineup, what an album
Aalfang Mit Pferdekopf - Is It Possible To Be At War With You?
- Released by Dying For Bad Music (!)
- Strange but intriguing bandname, it means something like Eels with horse head (according to Gooogle)
- Great stuff btw.

If you need an airy, aimless background while working this fits the bill.

Continuing with early Neil Young
Finally got to this favorite of Greg's.
I liked Echoes of Silence so much that I'm revisiting the earlier two.
