- Prompted by G. Prof's post - A five star album from NWCRI:
Chamber Works of Cindy Cox
Alexander Quartet; Earplay Ensemble; Paul Dresher Ensemble; George Thomson, conductor; Karen Bentley, violin; Karen Rosenak, piano; Peter Joseff, clarinet
I'm trying so hard to ignore all the Lana Del Rey stuff. Thus far I'm mostly succeeding. I simply have no interest in her or the debate over her authenticity.
Whatever anybody says, I still like the song Video Games - check it out on YouTube, then just try to get it out of your head.
But mostly I just liked the creative format of the review. It reminded me of one of my favorite reviews ever, from Spin, for a poetry book by Jewel; it gave a detailed description and critique of the font, and then said something to the effect of "as for the poems, they tend to start on the top of the page, and move down toward the bottom of the page", and that was the whole review.
Yes, I've got a couple of versions of it, not least because it was one of itunes Twelve Days of Christmas free offers here, but I have played it several times
Comments

- A young unfinished but sparkling band from the land down under, produced by the Danish electronica artist Jonas Munk (Manual, Causa Sui).
- Music has no boundaries these days . . .
ETA: Oooops, They are actually also from Denmark, I got confused by the Perth tag. Most definitely worth a spin . . .

Pleasant guitar-based ambient/drone. Free on bandcamp.
ETA: reading around a little further, clearly I missed some sort of of meme thing about this album.

It is certainly an interesting format. Took a whole heck of a lot of work.

Another vinyl rip of another out of print album. I'm so happy.
