But... you can get it for nearly half that price - $6.99 (USD) - on 7Digital. And seeing how I love me some Vince Guaraldi and some Mose Allison (and some Jamie Saft), I jumped right in.

Soft Machine album "Grimes" recorded live in 1970 with the classic line-up of the band at its absolute peak just after the release of their Landmark album "Third". It is largely made up of live versions of tracks from "Third" and "Fourth".

I was gobsmacked to find that I don't already own it, so when I found out that I didn't...
I should point out that unlike several other archival Softs releases the sound is fine quality, no complaints. It has me remembering a day around 1980 when I visited my sister in Rochdale and dug out a double cassette of (confusingly) the Triple Echo compilation. It seemed to offer more music than the release of Quadrophenia that I was also eye-ing up. Thank god I got that one right. Oh and I hadn't heard a note before buying the tape. A bit like falling into another universe.
