The Longing Daylight, the sophomore effort from Lee Anthony Norris and Porya Hatami, is a natural followup to Every Day is a New Drug. Once again working with their familiar recipe of field recordings, electronics, and improvised live piano, Lee and Porya dig deeper into their trademark windswept, decaying, yet delicate sound to produce an ambient masterpiece that is sure to delight their fans. Clocking in at just over 39 minutes, the 5 tracks of The Longing Daylight are just long enough to keep the listener aurally satisfied, while at the same time wanting more.
Those fab folk @ Bandcamp are repeating their 0% commission scheme tomorrow (Friday 1st May) so more money ends up in the hands of indie artists.
DiN is chipping in with a discount code that offers 25% off everything in the labels catalogue (digital/CD/vinyl/t-shirt). Simply enter this code maydin
We wanted to give you all a heads up that all album downloads at our Bandcamp page will be "Pay What You Want" tomorrow, Friday, May 1st, from midnight to midnight PST. Thank you for your continued support!
Today ROOM40 will offer 30% off everything. Use the code destroythevirus at check out. This code also goes for all my releases! Speaking of that, I have the pleasure to share with you Lassitude, my first solo recording in a long time....maximal minimalism for pipe organ.
For today only to mark the special bandcamp fee waiving day you can get 30% off all titles with the code lockdownblues Big thanks and solidarity to all in this time! FP.
We were already supposed to have a new release out these days, but due to the delay from our suppliers (damn you, pandemic!) we had to postpone it for a couple weeks. So, in order to keep things moving we've set everything physical and digital for 40% off. Just for today. Use the code 'hello' at checkout.
also, i am running a
special "buy everything sale" on my bandcamp site - %90 off the
entire catalog. honestly i wished to go higher than 90%, but sadly
bandcamp doesn't allow that.
*for any physical copies purchased, shipping will not be able to start for some
months.
If I didn't already own 95% of his catalogue I would be all over this. $40 for 73 excellent albums.
More than a bit pissed off that having spent £100+ on my first go round I try for more and my card and /or Paypal keeps being rejected presumably because of the volume of traffic. |If you are going to so heavily promote an event you should be able to handle the consequences. Bah humbug! And none of these were with discount codes! Bad for the artists and labels.

Look at the bright side - it's for a really good cause.
I do like to watch the "selling right now stream".. Makes my eyes hurt. It did take a while this am to go through the payment process - we'll see how round two goes later ... Take care.
Yep certainly. There's good folk out there that deserve the push. I've had a heavy day (in mail order, natch) and a couple of beers so time to destress a bit!
Hi All, While bandcamp waive their fees we're having a 50% lockdown sale. Use the code. LOCKDOWN50
I am still trying to get my head around the number of labels and artists massively discounting their stuff on the day that was supposed to be 'get money to the artists'. Maybe experience says it will double the volume? Still feels like a mixed message.

Well, from my perspective, I'm buying things that I might not ordinarily buy. But for the cost of the download, it's money they might not have received. I guess I could say the same of the old eMusic (when they actually paid artists) and many of those selections. Even at a big discount, my sense is that it's more lucrative than streaming.
Ooooh several good albums on Athens of the North. I've rec'd a few via my Best Jazz on BC column and BitW. Several with Greg Foat, for sure, but I feel like there's been others of a non-jazz nature. Maybe a Western Skies album?
IMMERSION : THREE is perfect for creative states, sleeping, reading, long hours at the computer and other functions where traditional music could be considered invasive. This release is especially effective in dissolving the sense of linear time

Yep, I had picked up some of those on your recommendation, and have quite enjoyed them. And I see there is a Hampshire & Foat release from last year that I missed (Saint Lawrence), but their discount code doesn't seem to be activated. (More specifically, when adding to a cart or checking out, the AOTN checkout has no field to enter a discount code - only use of gift cards, etc.)
