Yes, I've been monitoring the Archipelago page and it's still unavailable in the US. I remember when Night Walks came out there were eventually separate pages for a Europe and a US release, so I still hold out hope...b
A guitar trio augmented with a string section. Mixes jazz, chamber, classical, and folk with a startlingly beautiful result. Not unlike recent Jazz Pick Threads Orchestra, its an unconventional blending of instruments and genres that results in a seemingly simple, easy-to-enjoy set of tunes. Addicted on first listen, no end in sight.
Yet another quote from Jonah - I need to be careful here!
Trumpeter Matthew Halsall has been putting out one solid album after the other. While not straying far from his modal/Miles Davis sound, his compositions on the current album bloom outward a bit wider. Rachael Gladwins harp brings a fullness to the album not entirely present on previous releases, and the addition of a couple tracks with strings adds some nifty flavor. Nat Birchall, Adam Fairhall, and Gavin Barras return on sax, piano, and bass respectively, and worth mentioning that all three have released album regarded highly recommended Jazz Picks over the last year. This is an album that will be great to own, but also one to use for further music discovery.
Nick Didkovsky, electric guitar, laptop; Thomas Dimuzio, sampling, live sampling, and processing; ARTE Quartett: Beat Hofstetter, soprano and baritone saxophone; Sascha Armbruster, alto and baritone saxophone; Andrea Formenti, tenor saxophone; Beat Kappeler, baritone saxophone.

How is that godspeed you black emperor for all those playing it? My past self would be very angry at my current self for my lack of ability to feel excited about a new album from what was once my favorite band. I even missed a concert in the next town over.
Stumbling across something on a hard drive that you haven't listened to in a long time and didn't ever listen to a lot is like pulling on a pair of pants and finding money in the pocket.
