Cloud Bands and Arabesques by Biotron Shelf, a duo involving the excellent Wil Bolton.
ETA, not as good as his solo stuff.
There's a free EP by them here
Thanks for that Doofy - 84p for 90 minutes of music cannot be bad! Downloaded immediately, it actually cost me 40p cash, once I take bonus into account
A free stream of Gabrielle Aplin's forthomng album English Rain on itunes UK. She's an architypical young vocalist predicted to be one of the up and coming voices of 2013. She's already had a top selling single and this is her first album. Pleasant enough,I would need to listen a couple more times before perhaps buying, unless it is next week's Amazon Album of the Week at £3.99!
For anyone in the UK interested in hearing more Amazon have a free live 4 track EP and another 4 track EP at £1.29, which is actually less than emusic where it is £1.68!
I approve. She does sound like Siouxsie, almost to a distraction. Great drive and musicianship, really cohesive sound. Makes me think of "art rock" as much as "punk rock."
Doofy - I'm trying to find someone to go see them when they are in town on July 21. Come on up to Minnesota and go with me!
A Minnesota band and track one on this album is "Love is the Law". Had to listen to it just after the Minnesota House took a giant step toward love actually being the law.
The latest and & greatest? Now we're in East Africa in the mid-70s and early 80s, quite different sound from the earlier West African sets. DL same price everywhere, iTunes has the booklet.
eta @Craig,A lot more likely I would do that than go to Pitchfork, which is where they're playing here >:{
If you are in the UK, this week's Amazon deal at £4.99. Pop vocalist, but with strong jazz and swing influences. I'm sure, eg, that amc2 would like this

Part of a recent drop of 6 albums from the ACT label at emusic. It is finding albums like this that make me want to continue my membership there!

A good old good one from the good old track-pricing days. AAJ review
Cheju - Broken Waves. Wil Bolton's other alias.
Bobby Jones, aka I've Lost - From These Hands
ETA: Highly recommended.

Nice!
