FMA: Victoire: Live at WFMU's Stochastic Hit Parade 5/24/2009 - "Victoire's performance on WFMU is a wash of insistent harmony. Strings, piano, clarinet and a plethora of electronic accompaniments intermingle to create lilting soundscapes. Included is the newer song from composer Missy Mazzoli, "Like a Miracle," as well as a piano and electronics excerpt from an opera she wrote, premiering on May 29th."
Thanks for the reminder on Wire, Craig. Is that where you got 'That's Entertainment'? If so, it's not there anymore.
One I have been enjoying is this 'Anthology' from Stiff Little Fingers. sometimes (inaptly) described as 'the Irish Clash.' I previously knew them only for 1 or 2 great songs, namely Suspect Device and Alternative Ulster. Come to find out they've had a 30+ year career on and off, banging out politically conscious but racous punk/pub rock, call it what you will. I got the first 2 discs, may yet go back for the 3rd (live) disc.
Doofy - That's too bad! I actually got it during the first Guvera feast, but some of the tracks were faulty so I replaced them during the current frenzy. Surprised it's gone now.

Where is it that you are again GP?
One that has been on my wish list a long time - Bobby in LA in 1975, with a good band backed by a roster of Latin percussionists
Probably at a radical madrasa, because based on U.S. press coverage of the last 6 or so years I'm pretty sure that's the only thing in Indonesia.

No matter what happens with Guvera in the future, I will always appreciate the copious amounts of British post punk it gave me.
