Google quote from the Verge story: "“This is yet another meritless claim by Epic, which is now using its
newly acquired app Bandcamp to continue its effort to avoid paying for
the value that Google Play provides" Puh-lease
They'll end up turning off purchases in the app, I bet. But that's not really that big a deal, is it, because users can simply access Bandcamp from the web. I use the Kindle app on iPad, and that's what I have to do if I want to make a purchase
Almost nobody played my home town of Oldham - but Shakti did - a pity it was 11 years after I moved to London! ;-) Saw them at some point at the Royal Festival Hall I think.
Starting about 27 hours ago, It’s a 100-day streaming art station. You can find out more here. Not everyone will enjoy it, but it does have a variety of sound-art projects that may be fun to have running in the background as you do other things. So far, it’s been a wonderful diversion.
@rostasi, I see that Radio Art Zone is based in Luxembourg.
Which, talking of wonderful diversions, took me back to those great, heady old Radio Luxembourg days in the early to mid 60s (pre Pirate Radio) when it was the only way you could hear good rock music on your transistor radio, under your pillow at night! Rock music back then just wasn't what the BBC was all about!

I remember those days well. A little earpiece so my parents didn't know I was still listening to the radio, signal fading in and out. So easy nowadays to listen to music....
Not bad considering it doesn't cover any of their good material, if what the article alludes to, no Gabriel or Hackett co-writes included. 500 million spotify plays for In The Air Tonight. That's mad.
Syrian Cassette Archives - I just tried to buy that and PayPal denied the transaction because it was a foreign transaction...paying nothing worked though.
I do foreign transactions all the time with Bandcamp and Paypal. I think it was because the payee is Syrian? I bought some Iraqi music once and got a really weird email from the state department wondering why I was sending $1.99 to an Iraqi email.
Anyway, the Syrian mix tape is great, listening to it right now in fact.
I'll be looking up Martha Gonzalez who is only a name to me - Ikue Mori on the other hand is one of the more important musicians associated with the NY downtown scene going back to the late '70's. A wonderfully inventive musician.
Well, we're happy to see some action at WBU's owl home. We were getting nervous checking the owl Cams so it's a good thing I scrolled down on their owl page and see they are waiting for the first egg to come.
Can't believe that this is out! I have waited and thought I'd never see it because of legal disputes from the bands, but HERE IT IS! My absolute favorite concert video of all time!!!

The Corruption Loops
It still has remnants of the original left, but it's sitting
in a pool of gentle white noise.
BTW: my loop turned into total white noise after about 6 and a quarter hours.
Also, if you have it opened in a separate tab at the top, the text changes there too.

Well deserved!
