  • Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
  • Jodi Savall playing large quantities of Marin Marais.

I knew a bunch of European oops-our-copyright-laws-work-differently Jazz collections had been showing up on emusic, but until visiting a HMV in Wales today I had not really pictured the degree to which the Jazz section of a large music shop here basically consists of big box sets of older Jazz at knock down prices.
  • Clifford Jordan & John Gilmore - Blowing in from Chicago
  • As I've mentioned in this space before, if there were a bootleg recording of Pharoah Sanders with Chicago Underground Duo/Trio and São Paulo Underground, Live at SESC Pinheiros, in São Paulo, Brazil on 22nd August, 2010, I would totally listen to that
  • Portraits cover art

A good album full of summertime vibes

  • Jimi Hendrix - First Rays of the New Rising Sun

I'd totally listen to that too now, if there was such a thing.

I was thinking about this the other day when I read the article about Ornette Coleman suing young collaborators.

Maybe I missed the beginning of this thread, but...
I got that Pharoah 2010 Brazil set online back in 2012.
I'll have to see if I can find it on another drive here.
There's also the more recent "Spiral Mercury" from last year from SESC as well.
There are also vids online of the 2010 concert on YouTube.
  • I think Doofy was joking; I got it around then too; I'm pretty sure it was on his rec. ...

@rostasi, yes, that was my oh-so clever way of suggesting one could Google that recording if interested!  Can't see 'em all, but still kind of kicking myself for missing a Pharoah appearance with Rob late last year

Yeah, I thought it was a funny way of writing it.

Vrt Fvrmer is not to be confused with Vert, performer of the Köln Konzert:

That new box set looks great (see news thread) unfortunately I don't see me having $700 to drop on a box set in this lifetime. Oh well, I seem to enjoy free auds more than commercial releases anyway.
