@Lowlife Apparently, Sun was bitterly surprised and disappointed that his 1984 song "Nuclear War" was not a hit.
"Originally Ra was so sure the funky dance track was a hit, he immediately took it to Columbia Records, where they immediately rejected it. Why he thought a song with the repeating chant "Nuclear War, they're talking about Nuclear War/It's a motherf***er, don't you know/if they push that button, your ass gotta go/and whatcha gonna do without your ass" would be a hit is another puzzle in the Sun Ra myth." via AllMusic
So after getting home from work I 'dressed down'.... during dinner my oldest son remarked on the T-shirt I was wearing: "Grievous Bodily Harm"?
I responded, "Maybe" and then stated that I thought I read somewhere that letters represented "Great Britain Hardcore"..... looked it up after dinner he was actually right (but for the wrong reasons).
Anyway.. after dinner, after pulling and playing the couple of CD's I have by G.B.H. I I got to thinking..... lets have a little compare/contrast, head-to-head/battle of the bands of G.B.H.against their contemporaries . .. Man.. I always loved the early stuff by Discharge....I can not believe how much this album just obliterates G.B.H. and probably [insert target here]. Hear Nothing, Say Nothing Do Nothing
...and for those who can only bear limited exposure to this kind of stuff.. Protest and Survive
PS: I won't Subcscibe to a System that has it's Hand around my Throat.
Finally got to see these guys well after they transitioned from punk to speed-metal. I'll give them this.... without thier cover of The Green Manalishi my musical education would be incomplete.
ETA: Never even knew this existed: Thanks youtube!

A month or so ago I was seriously entertaining the idea of getting tickets to see Danzig. However, i doubt the show would be anything like this (horrible audio, horrible video, awesome energy). Those were the days, indeed.

Yo La Tengo made a pretty good cover EP of Nuclear War too.
