@GP - I once had Uhaul cancel a truck I was supposed to pick up on Saturday at 5 minutes to close of business on Friday; I haven't used them since. We had to move with a bread Van, and were lucky to find that! My favorite place to use for short moves is Budget; longer moves Ryder or Penske.
@GP, @amclark2 - move went well - apartment is nice, with a view of the city (Boston) form one of the windows. Good neighborhood, nice old apartment with wood floors and new kitchen. I've used the same U-Haul for over 30 years - they've always been good to me. Didn't we used to get unlimited mileage for free, though? I looked around when I saw the "and x cents a mile", but apparently they all do this now.
Working my way through the At the Black Hawk albums:
Back from a trip to Germany. Started in Cologne, then by train to Dresden for a week. Fascinating city in what used to be East Germany. Bombed by RAF and USAF in February 1945 and some of the bomb sites still to be re-developed. Virtually all the buildings in the old town are being rebuilt with frontages as they were in 1945.
Back to the music - lots to catch up on here, as usual. GP - I was fortunate to see John Williams play three times in the 80s - twice with Sky, which then led to see a solo performance too. It was through Sky that I was first introduced to his classical work. This album always brings back great memories.
- "The upcoming release of the duo of singer and voice performer Didi Bruckmayr and composer and sound artist Bernhard Loibner under the moniker of "Bruckner". The 5 tracks explore the verge of the musical spectrum with Bruckmayr talking and singing in peculiar languages, crossing subconscious acoustic landscapes while Loibner uses his custom computer instrument and more analogue gear for live processing and creation of his unique and peculiar sounds."

Bruckner aka. Didi Bruckmayr & Bernhard Loibner
On my last record store trip I found this and Jawbreaker's Bivouac in the 2 for $5 bin!
Of course, this was an even better deal; I got the complete recordings for $1.99 from the XBox music promotion.
