Solo live improvisation with synthesizer, grand piano and effects in the Thames Tunnel Grand Entrance Hall.
Brocoli continues to unearth Michel Chion’s unreleased gems, after the
concrete melodrama Tu and the collection of early works Musiques
Concrètes 1970-71. This time it focuses on the period from 1988 to 1991,
starting with 10 études de musique concrète, a series of obsessive
pieces, sounding in turns dry and liquid. While Variations smashes a
waltz theme to pieces, Crayonnés Ferroviaires is a work and manifesto,
an ode to the tape recorder and to the possibilities offered by the
microphone and magnetic tape.

Hey BN Thanks for the reminder that Senor Trunk had made Circle of Light available on Emusic. "Unfortunately" that lead me to these two slices of cheesy fun while I do the Saturday morning housework.
The cover to the first volume is a work of genius... or something.
Opening track from “LEAVES - The Colour of Falling (performed by
Efterklang & The Happy Hopeless Orchestra)” by Efterklang and
Karsten Fundal (out on Tambourhinoceros on Nov 4th 2016).

Listening to this while taking advantage of the Another Timbre sale going on until Nov. 20. Also, check out the wonderful Variations 2/2b projects. I think nearly all of the 100+ releases have a YouTube sample link, so you can enjoy them before purchasing.
You're welcome. It was the other album on that page I was listening too - worth a listen too.
NP:
Various Artists: At Dawn's Harbor Free once upon a time at Luxus-Arctica; found it the other day on my hard drive, had never been added to iTunes. Nice enough ambient fare. ETA, looks like you can still get it free here.

Latest Bird Is the Worm recommendation
ETA, that led to the following long live recording by the 'John Tchicai & Andrew D'Angelo Quartet,' which is certainly the right stuff.

The brutal-jazz power trio Schnellertollermeier, on Cuneiform:
X
Andi Schnellmann — Bass
Manuel Troller — Guitar
David Meier — Drums
ETA: Just when I thought that Vincent Bergerond (aka. Bergerron etc:) couldnt get more strange and bizarre:
- But at the same time quite catchy and very very moving . . .
Odyssey

$1 on Bandcamp. Gently synthy stuff. A little too sweet and basic for my tooth.ETA: Meh.
This is more like it.
A Blessed Unrest
