"A Gathering of the Tribes", a series of five albums featuring compilations of Psychedelic Rock primarily from the 60s.
Where are these?
I downloaded some tracks from this series of albums from eMusic way back in 2014. Mainly fairly average but there were some striking exceptions. It led me to some really interesting obscurities such as D.R. Hooker (see below), Mystic Siva and Mary Butterworth.
Volumes 3 and 5 are available on Apple iTunes in Australia.

If you're interested in sampling Psych music from the 1960s then by far the best album is the highly regarded album "Nuggets: Choice Artyfacts From the First Psychedelic Era 1965-1968".
AMG says "If one had to point to a single initial salvo that launched the garage rock revival movement in the 1970s and ‘80s, it would have to be the release of Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era 1965-1968 in 1972." and "Nuggets proved to be of seismic importance in the years after its release, but just as importantly, it's a blast to listen to" and "Very few "oldies" compilations have had an influence approaching that of Nuggets, and even fewer are as rewarding to listen to; if you care about rock music in the '60s, you need to own this album."
Its been reissued numerous times in the last 15 years or so. I have a cd copy around here somewhere that is probably the Subliminal Sounds version. Original copies were something of a *ahem* Holy Grail a few years back.
Fred Lonberg-Holm-Holm & Joe Mcphee Duo // Catalytic Sound Festival 2020
Eta this list of what YouTube's algorithm thought I should see next after that Holm/McPhee set. Uncanny...It's like they can read my mind (OK, I could conceive of myself listening to that Joni Mitchell/James Taylor concert)

Too bad it looks like a real mess.
