Tropical Twista 6 Years vol 1 starts out with a rather perfunctory version of Summertime but soon branches out into various shades of Brazilian downtempo electronica. Keeping it mellow in the hospital room while yesterday's Morphine lumber punch finishes its work. New half knee not quite up to to the dance yet.
From a playlist designed to find things I have neglected for a while. This, from 2014, is NYOP on bandcamp. "Three tracks of drone-ambient-jazz-psych rock." Sublimely hypnotic, especially the third track which is absolute bliss. Floaty and effortless and inside my body and I never want it to end. (It occurs to me that this is very much in The Necks territory)

Got into a cab in Melbourne a few years back and the cabbie was playing a Fela Kuti album. Turns out that he played in Fela's band for a number of years and now runs a recording studio for the top local Afrojazz bands.
"Urgent Support For The Fire-stricken Areas In Greece" by Various Artists. A really good compilation album for a great cause, lasting almost 5 hours at a minimum cost of 3 Euros.
