    quick update: holden is now taking violin lessons. he was coming unhinged at the thought of his brother being up on stage while he had to stay in the audience. early results are promising - he's working the drills and is really fluid with long bowing.

    garrett's 7th grade orchestra starts soon: 7 a.m. 3 days a week. ooof. this will be a big year to see if he's committed to the long haul.

    an aside: prior to kids we lived in a bungalow and my hang out area was downstairs. wife was upstairs showering. came down later and as she'd descends she's yelling "will you quit singing! YOU. ARE. AWFUL!"
