i can't help myself...that call leading to gardenhire's ejection was a joke.
why umpires feel the need to reward yankee's for resting lumber on their shoulders is beyond beyond. but then to strike out valencia on an obvious ball four is just petty.
just flat out drill someone gardy!!! they nailed thome 1x and barely missed high + in the 2nd. i'm calling out rauch to put a-rod's kidneys on notice!
I have come to the conclusion the AL Central is a Triple-A league. Only reason there's ever a team with 85+ wins is that they play each other all the time.
I am wishing Texas well, though TB might have better chance to beat Yanks.
My brother, an upstanding citizen and fine person--despite being a full-blown, Barry Bonds-apologist Giants fan--sent me this video link.
As I pointed out to him, this was also the theme song for your 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox. The Sox player most strongly identified with this piece of 80s schlock rock? None other than clubhouse cancer A.J. Pierzynski, beloved by Twinkie and Giant fans alike.
What is lamer than other people's fanaticism for other teams? Not much.
dude. that's harsh. friends don't link journey to friends.
both a.j. and paulie are free agents and can walk. paulie has always been linked to anaheim so he may have reason to look elsewhere. a.j. - can he even think of wearing a uni other than "southside"??? he is way too embedded in the sox marketing to ever leave. i'm assuming he gets some extra cash for appearances at bars, commercials and half off the polish masseuse services advertised on the bottom of the sun times sports page.
I "Journey-rolled" you. This is like a big hit song among my teen daughter and her friends. She bought it on iTunes! I realized the world was changing around me some years ago, when I was dissing Journey and some slightly younger friends accused me of being a music snob .
AJ is definitely gone, I expect he'll do fine on the free-agent market. (But then I thought that about Dye, still blows my mind that he didn't hook on someplace.) I would think Konerko too...he is only 34, can't imagine him giving the home-team discount it would take to stay with the Sox.
Kind of pleased to see Rangers advance...Cliff Lee looks unbeatable just now.
I'm for Lee - beat the crap out of "Pretty Boy" Lincecum. Wipe that smug look off Ross's face. And someone peg Sanchez and dare him to even glance back at the mound.
i'm too busy trying not to kill my youngest to think straight. he comes skipping downstairs wondering aloud "what baseball player signed this baseball..."
I misunderestimated the Giants' pitching. Couldn't have named a Giants pitcher, besides Lincecum (and Barry Zito!) Well, just 5 months till pitchers and catchers report.
