His earlier stuff relied more on gentle hypnotism and small incremental changes over time. This album has punch, especially turned up on decent speakers. As a reviewer on emusic put it,
"Every single sound is pure and crisp. The sounds literally punch their way out of the speakers. They are like bullets. Can't think of any other way to describe them."
Indeed. This one even tiptoes Germanically into the shadows of the edge of the parking lot at the outskirts of funkytown.
@frogkopf - Bombastic to be sure. If I were after dancing I'd probably go more for this, which manages to make German prose very sprightly indeed.
Mean time, my day pulses onward (around several interruptions) with this, which has more punch than Transform, I think.
@Brighternow - yes, though getting to be ancient history.... Here's some contemporary German musical humor. Mashup of Rammstein and Fredl Fesl, brilliantly done - funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Constructive German-American relations.

Alva Noto - Transform
This one's a little sterile, I think. Hypnotic and an important release in its own way though.
And if I need a version auf Deutsch, this one suffices.
And when I feel like dancing......

Thank you Sony drop box set price errors.

Crap. Another good band bites the dust.

I got "Queen of Denmark" from Amie last year, still trying to puzzle it out...
Edit: I'm liking it musically, but lyrically there are some head-scratchers, which is about what Daniel said.

Tora! Tora! Torrance! - A Cynics Nightmare
They need an apostrophe in that album title.

Just been listening to the CD in my car - still the Boss for me!
