Soon time for the next freebie. Wonder what it will be. I enjoyed last month's Frank Bridge disc. (BTW, the digital booklet for the Bridge album is now available at the site.) All of a sudden my subscription to the newsletter is working, too. I did nothing to prompt this. I don't get it. It works, then it doesn't work, then it works again. Chandos works in mysterious ways.
The free album download this month is offered courtesy of Marquis: String Quartets by Ravel and Debussy, performed by Alla Aranovskaya (violin), Alla Krolevich (violin), Boris Vayner (viola), and Leonid Shukayev (cello).(MQ 1379)
Any wanting to give this release some meaningful tags, will be better looking that the Marquis site than relying on the classical shop's track list. See http://www.marquisclassics.com/379_debussy.aspx.
The following email was received from Chandos today:
we are currently moving our host providers to give our customers better download speeds, during this time we are unable to add new releases to the site and therefore have not sent out a new-release newsletter this month. If everything goes to plan, we should be back to normal next month. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Patiently awaiting the next installment. I really look forward to these newsletters with the freebies. I've picked up some really fine free music over the past few years from them. So, bring it on, baby!
