  • Thanks Paul, and Classical Shop. Sounds intriguing
  • DAMN! I have that one already.
  • Thanks for the link, I have two other recordings by her that I enjoy.
  • Ditto thanks, BN. As a bonus, the tags are even in good shape on this one!

  • Thanks for that link, I also enjoyed reading Paul Westcott's column this month.
  • Thanks Nereffid, I always enjoy these.

"La Mer" must be the most commonly added-on piece of music in Classical recording. This is the 4th or 5th album in my library that includes it.
  • Again, many thanks Nereffid

ETA: and this is recycled from october 2011.
  • Yes - May 2014 is a repeat of Oct 2011. Here is to hoping this isn't a trend!
But thanks again for maintaining this!
  • Well, I skipped it the first time, maybe I'll give it a try this time around.

    HANDEL: Messiah (Choruses)
  • This Naxos release has much better labeled tracks. It's hard to be nitpicky for a free album, but...

It still surprises me that classical labels, who are selling a kind of music that has more room for geeky detail that listeners might care about than many other genres, seem to be just about the worst at tagging their digital releases intelligibly. I am trying to retag one of those last two albums above (not sure which one yet...wait...it's the Korngold) and the album title is given in the tags as "ONYX 4016W". All Google is telling me is that that is the address of a strip club in North Carolina.

And the other one, the Early Music one, has no tags at all. Sigh.
