I must ask though did you actually take them up on the complete catalogue offer? I just baulked at the idea of downloading 77 more albums despite the killer deal.
@djh, me too! My suggestion is to give the compilation album "The Mo'some Sessions" a try. This directed me to what I think are the best of the bands and albums on the label.
Funny that I was getting worried that we weren't listening to music any more, as there were only 2 posts on this thread during the first 10 days of December. I'll readily admit that I was a guilty party!
However, we made up for it with 28 posts in the second 10 days of the month!
I tend to binge post. But I do check this thread nearly daily, always interested in what other people are listening to. Many of my non-jazz purchases were because I checked out for myself albums emusers posted here.
Tears for Fears - "Sowing the Seeds of Love"
Just discovered they made some deluxe editions of this recording. I'll be checking those out shortly. Years ago, I picked up a 2-cd deluxe edition of Songs from the Big Chair. Sadly, it was pretty underwhelming. I think of the many songs crammed onto Disc #2, there were only a few that were notable.
@jonahpwll, likewise for me. I've discovered some outstanding music through eMusers that I would never have otherwise experienced. So a big "Thank You" to everybody who belongs to our group.
My album for today is ""Ezz-thetics", the excellent 1961 album by the George Russell Sextet featuring Eric Dolphy, Don Ellis, Dave Baker, Steve Swallow and Joe Hunt.
Plus I keep on coming back to my favourite modern Progressive Rock band, "Porcupine Tree" and their album "Stupid Dreams" with the outstanding track "Even Less"

One of my albums of the year, thank you all for great suggestions this year, it has made my listening all the better. Wishing you all a great festive period, peace and love to all and families

And yes I had to interupt what I had been playing in order to listen to it. Some great players not only Dolphy but Steve Swallow on bass, Don Ellis trumpet etc.
And then back to working my way through semi-recent purchases...
Outside there is a gale blowing with rain and hail so that's also what I'm listening to despite the double glazing. The local supermarket was promising 10 container lorries of perishable food today, in an effort to stop the usual island life panic buying. I'd be amazed if all the ferries are sailing today. Need more music from warm countries!
I can see why I gave "Culturen" a slot on my best-of list. What I can't see is how it fell off my listening queue. That was a very fun, very cool album.
