""Lying somewhere in between contemporary classical music and beat electronica, Kateryna Zavoloka makes an invisible bridge between the ultra-intellectual approach of say Pierre Schaeffer and the more relaxed, instinctive melodica-vs.-amiga one of say Trombone. Twenty minutes of digital beatz?n?dronz, sampled-and-hacked vocals, sweet spontaneous tune creation and beauty. Free music: free to electronics like free is to jazz.
Kateryna Zavoloka hails from Kiev and here she dishes up some sweet tracks comprised of rich and abstract analogue/digital noise, melodies and idm like drums. http://www.zavoloka.com"
An interesting "new" BS double CD set, available legitimately in Europe and available on emusic in the EU/UK from today. As this was originally broadcast live in the States, it can be legally released in the EU under our copyright rules. It includes a very early version of Thunder Road, plus a few other rarities. The sound quality is amazingly good for such a recording. But I admit it is mainly of interest to BS completists like me!
I was listening to a deposition in aid of collecting a judgment of over $700k. It was awful even by deposition standards. No joke, the creditor's attorney asked the debtor to take out his wallet and count the cash in it ($200 by the way). The attorney then asked if any of that was going to be used to pay down the judgment.....seriously!?! The debtor isn't even my client, but I still felt like punching the creditor's attorney.
Ok. . . .
I was searching for a Buddah that should give a hint about the spiritual nature of Sparkling Wide Pressure but found the prayerwheel instead.
- but I can see now that it was not altogether successful.
