Have checked this out several times on Spotify. This seems to be one of those albums that when I'm listening to it I really like it, then later I can't form a clear aural image of it in my head. Then when I listen to it again I like it again. Then I can't remember it again. Will probably end up buying it. Jasper TX is one half of the more recent duo From the Mouth of the Sun.
I completed the purchase of this album on the last day of Amiestreet's existence by taking a bunch of left over recs and trawling for tracks that were still free to put them on, on the assumption that others would be doing the same. Sure enough those tracks quickly turned into a few cents a piece, and there were enough of them to buy the remaining tracks.
Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!
/bought this on vinyl when I was but a little droog.
Still enjoying this a lot. Btw jazz fans, at the event with Miguel Zenon last week, he mentioned that Chick Corea was going to be the next SFJazz Collective composer.

I usually skip classical samplers, but I am taking amclark's rec on the Jordi Savall!

Were else can you tracks like "Gary's Got a Boner" and "Sixteen Blue" back-to-back?

The better my jazz ears get, the more I realize how special a player Don Pullen was.
