Recent Duke Robillard release I read about, and found on eMu no thanks to any effort of theirs -
Straight forward trio recording, mostly instrumental, jazz done by bluesman - not flash or stunningly original but nice to listen to, so rec if you like how Duke plays (I'd take his 2 albums with Herb Ellis over this - Conversations In Swing Guitar is $3.43 at eMu, BTW, or More Conversations In Swing Guitar, $2.94 - typical of eMu that they have 2 albums by the same 2 people in 2 different listings), or you'd like some mellow jazz guitar that's not too frenetic.

Eyes! China Doll
Chatham County Line/Avett Brothers style folk-bluegrass: more driving that sprightly. Pretty good. Free/NYOP
This one is always tied together with that Studio album in my head, because I got them both around the same time I think.
Dan'l - I checked out that Babes song you rec'd a few days ago - cool shit.
BT - I loved Doc and Dawg ; you were definitely rigt about Summer Time; many thanks.
Moody folk songs with Beach Boys harmonies and miles of reverb like ... well, you can guess whom they sound like. Free/NYOP

ETA, I love "Men of Mathematics".
WOW !
My Bloody Valentine EP's 1988 - 1991
I bought this CD this morning for 99p, new, a ridiculous price, for such a good album, even if it is Robbie Williams. The backing band is superb.

Unlikely to have been born at the crossroads.
Country-ish, singer-writery-ish. Free.
Really cool country folk--recommended. NYOP
