• Looks like you got your wish for the paid range on Goto Izumi, brittleblood. I'll have to check it out when I get home (and can actually listen to samples).

Also, I added you to my network. You should get a message in your inbox telling you I did that. If you click through to my profile you'll find frogkopf, thom (indieb0i), and of course myself, if you want to add any of us to your network.

Interestingly, I don't have an Ian Whalen listed as a friend. Either I deleted him and forgot, or Amie Street tech support doesn't want to be my friend.

this may be a patch in ian's quilt. he does link amie street, altho i get the sense he is a collectively fabricated non-being...and as plong sez, he's prolly on the inside.

i did start out with 25buck in amie street and expect to use the service more as i get familiar with it. kinda neat to have the subscription model out of the way and can just get what i want when the time hits me.
• >Goto Izumi,

I am listening now.....fantastic. Japaneses Klezmer? Is there more?
• i know i know...when it comes to street cred, nothing grabs the headlines more than a klezmer-soaked hour soundtracking a japanese girl's puppet show.

clink.

If I see a comment that says it isn't there am I in some sort of vortex or something?

Did anyone pick up the Mayer Hawthorne record?

Mayer Hawthorne
• @Daytripper, I grabbed it and after one listen I enjoyed it and am looking forward to queuing it up again.
• for stoner droner heads, there's a sunn o))) boris recording on amie for less than 2bux...called altar. it's album only 12-credits at the other place.
• Goto Izumi+Accordion has three albums. I need the other two to pop up on AmieStreet.
• Just got an email from Amie Street. Apparently all Mountain Goats albums are capped at $5 until the new album is released on October 6. That's not exactly in the "still cheap" area, but thought I'd menion it.

• @plong42: the vigil is on. i'm 5 plays into it and trying to figure how i can build a mix out of some of the material.

@mutantis + amclark2: the boris + sunno))) recording is not the power of "ibitsu" - it's hevvy on the creep stoner feel. add to it the enlarged album art is trippy. i may have to make myself a boris t-shirt.

• I have that boris & sunn o)))) from the good old days at the good old place; it is great, especially that vocoder'ed trumpet vocal thing (if I'm thinking of the right album)

I saved the japanese klezmer thing for later; will check out while still cheap.
• altar is going to nab a bunch of recs!!! am i naive to sit on the recs??? "blood swamp" and "fried eagle mind" are just tripped out beyond (do i dare say it???) description.

clink. akuma no kuna is the track you are describing. i recall asking one of the mom's (japanese; fluent english) at the school "what does akuma no uta" mean??? "the devil's song" she replied. ooops...i guess akuma no kuna is along those lines.
• Vigilantes of Love albums are still really cheap.

http://snipurl.com/rtu7x ]Vigilantes of Love albums are still really cheap.

Check out Bill Mallonee, the long-time front man for VOL. Locketful of Moonlight is listed under "Bill Mallonee and Vigilantes of Love, a very good recent effort from Mallonee.
• Went from free to 13 cents/track right before my eyes - The Go Round by Inf. Very cool instrumental hip-hop.
