@Plong42 - that's Volume 2. Is that a mistake, or did you splurge, or find a deal you've been holding out on us? I'd get Vol. II in a heartbeat if it wasn't like $90.
eRikm - Transfall - "eRikms Transfall is a document of profound gesture. A collection of works that resolve his recent explorations into music and sound for performance, dance and theatre.
For almost two decades, eRikm has been a major force in contemporary musique concréte. He is a compelling improviser and forthright composer whose work taps into the central linage of sound-object oriented composition emanating from France. Developing a highly personal performance and compositional language, eRikms reputation and position within the emergent generation of concréte composers had led to numerous collaborations with icons such as Luc Ferrari (Room40 issued Les Protorythmiques in 2007).
Transfall is an archive of six works linked through new developments in eRikms compositional philosophies.
He notes: The time spent on the composition of some of these pieces gave me the possibility to break out, that is to get out of my usual processes of degeneration/generation of a body or of a multiplicity of pre-existing sound objects. Thus my gesture shifted, I have looked for and recorded my own sound materials.
When heard collectively, these compositions take on a presence much more than the sum of their parts. They collect unconventional approaches from an artist whose compositional methodologies are already deeply rooted in experimental traditions. The resulting pieces, and the album as a whole, represent one of eRikms most personal and resolved works to date. A vision of future explorations mounted within a frame of the artists previous sonic understandings."

100 Hits Legend - B.B.King - 5 CD bare bones box set I paid about $12 for at Amazon - all early career B.B. (50's), absolutely no organization, but good material. I don't have loads of B.B. because he's got a bazillion albums, and he is my personal least favorite of the 3 Kings of the Blues (Freddy, Albert and B.B.) which is not to say I don't like him, he's just got some fierce competition. That said the early stuff is my favorite, so I don't mind at all having this haphazard load of blues. I don't know what it would cost to get all this material as originally issued, and that's if it's even available as such.
This is a great show, some of my favorite live dead shows are from 1971. First disc is great, Keith Godchauxs first tour so he is a bit hesitant, and PigPen is no longer able to tour. This makes for a smaller sound, with more of Jerry on vocals. Sugaree and Black Peter are standouts. Sadly, Dead.net reports this one is already sold out.

- "Per Boysens live concerts focus on instrumental music with an openminded psychedelic touch, utilizing live looping and interactive electronics to extend traditional instruments in multi lateral improvisation. He is a Swedish freelance worker in many creative fields, often referred to as a renaissance man. Has toured worldwide as a musician, affiliated with both major record labels, small independent labels and as a self promoting artist. Former studio musician counting one gold selling album. Produced recorded music for CD, surround DVD multimedia, radio and television.[/i]

If I'm being completely honest I don't love this; but I can't for the life of me figure out why I don't love it.
Maybe it just needs more time?
