I hope this cover doesn't disappear. Once again I'm sending out thanks to amclark2, for gifting me with aposemat and for providing the inspiration for this year's experiment. A couple of tracks had played through the rotation and I knew they'd all be perfect for the mix. I spent this morning's sunrise listening to Anode_Slug, Who Murdered the Mountain ? and Maud Ray Kent/Second Blue Ring. I did forget to sort them by album so they did play through out of order but they still sounded terrific. I'll put them in order in the experiment. I try my best to get to most things sooner or later. Thanks again!!
Cherry blossoms, I can almost smell them. I'd have to say that I like the April Larsen track the best and elizabeth Veldon's cherry blossom festival will provide a nice drone for the garden. Thanks for the suggestion.
I figured I should follow that up with
Yuudachi (Evening Rainstorm) - Soh Daiko
We could use a good one, now that most of the garden has been re-dug.
Thanks again, am2, I look forward to h through zed.
Not much rain yet, and no blossoms to report, but I'm keeping an eye/ear out to see if i can hear them pop

Thanks Lowlife. This remix had me searching them out.
Apron Strings - The Memory Band
Thanks again! when I saw Blackwaterside starting it off, it got me thinking about Bert Jansch and led zeppelin and way back then & i knew I needed to get it and when I heard it, I couldn't stop. Terrific way to spend a night off and terrific tunes for the garden.
Here's what's been playing most recently on lastfm
No gardening content, but I must cheer when the kale and spring onions start appearing at the farmers' markets. It means I get to make Cauliflower Colcannon!
Well, I'll have to apologize for taking so long to let you all know how the garden's going. Sorry, but this years experiment has been keeping me pretty busy.
Here's where we're at so far. The seeds in the works were encoded up to June 15th at 9:08 PM. The last track encoded was El Gomhoreya by Alvarius B. from a great sampler - Eight Trails, One Path.
and the control group came out of the cold room looking to be inspired. They got planted on the 16th of June. The latest I've ever planted.
Here's their weekly progress report.
Mid-week storm's got me out staking up the corn.
Into a hot spell. That droopy looking bunch up front is a mixture of Detroit Dark Reds and a golden variety of beets (who's name escapes me just now).
I forgot to take a picture from that other shot this week
The last one's a day early and there may be one a day out. Also, I did change the order of the rows. I decided to split them into 3 regions because I'd given my brother a healthy portion of the works to test out down there in Calgary and as the plot thinens? they'd be able to keep closer company with like minded seeds.
Turns out they were so tasty, on a morning of the 2nd week, the rabbits mowed down most of the the first 4 rows. I came home from work and put up some temporary rabbit inconveniences and they'd already grown back about an inch. I coulda switched then out with the thinnings but they were trying so hard i just had to let them go for it.
The only music accessory to get added so far, is a single cd my wife incorporated into this years water feature.
The only other things is, I also added
A really terrific listen.
And the theme of this year's Canada Day Party - Schrödinger's Cat/Le chat de Schrödinger
Truly wonderful.
Funny thing, I'd put The Garden into the SFL for when I made my last renewal for this year. I'm happy to save that till next year's renewal for another experiment. Thanks GP, for all your suggestions!!
I'ts been a terrific rotation this summer and when I get around to updating my downloads, I'll tell you all about them. (i hope)
It's hard to tell from these smaller shots but the ears are really sending out the the silk. A beautiful reddish colour not unlike the colour of the seeds.I'll try to do one of those close-ups as soon as as find the instruction book.
Well, first day of fall is upon us and the garden's just about done for the season. We had a pretty hard frost Sept 11th so a lot of the tenders just gave up. I did manage to save some tomatoes and peppers as they grew up pretty close to the house and the beets and cabbages are still really happy. We picked the last of the corn on the 10th and were able to share a bunch with family & friends.
Sept. 7th
Sept 9th (a super sweet bi-colour)
Sept 12th
The calculations aren't all finalized, but it appears Greg Fox and that Plantable music section were the biggest and tastiest corn of the lot. They got knocked down and then stood right up again. The Works were the tastiest sprouts (according to the rabbits) and the control group were the strongest plants.
Thanks again for helping out with the experiment. I hope to see you again next spring.

Well, a big Howdy to all my emusing friends. I'm just thrilled to say it's experimenting time once again. I haven't set on a direction for the garden so far, but i did spend a fair amount of time this winter making some trance, techno, disco, electronic, ... playlists for one of my younger nephews (aspiring DJ, playing a rave tonight) and exploring between 4&5, so I'm hoping for some inspiration from you's.
I'm happy to start this year's test subjects with a suggestion for Porya Hatami's The Garden by Germanprof. Many thanks! I've already seen a whack of spiders, brigades of ants, lots and lots of ladybugs and goodly amount of bees. No snails/slugs so far and I can't remember the last time I saw a firefly. Early spring in our region so I'm having a blast.
Next, courtesy amclark2 is Anne Guthrie's Codiaeum variegatum. It's actually a real pretty, odd variety of Croton that comes in occasionally to the Home Depot and the like. I'll see if I can find one to add the garden. Thanks for introducing me to Billy Gomberg and Anne.

It seems like this is kind of a nasty plant; like intentionally growing poison ivy. But still an album about a plant made me think of you.
