The Dirty Projectors inspired Trevor Wilson: - "These songs you're holding in your hands are filled with stuff like pianos and guitars and voices - many voices, provided by Trevor's very talented ensemble - which themselves are filled with stuff like bees and babies and donkeys and mothers. This music, held up equally by the harmony and dissonance Trevor creates with his ensemble is, as he says in the song "Colin", blanketed in choices. . . ."
As always it is good to be back, after a week with no broadband, and then a week on holiday in the South of France, and, also as always, lots of music to catch up on! I'm going to have a fairly busy download morning as emusic refreshes in a couple of days and I have quite a number of credits left.
Thanks BN - just a short holiday near Nice, busy now I'm back though! Whist we were away we watched the first 8 episodes of The Killing on DVD. Now I know what all the positive comments were about. Only 12 episodes to go - I might even learn a few words of Danish by the end. (Then we start again because we also have The Killing 2 on DVD!)

Steve Peters & Steve Roden - Not a Leaf Remains as it Was
Moist Autobiography by Deef
Stumbled across a used copy of this CD last week. M'Boom was an all-percussion ensemble project formed by the late, great jazz drummer Max Roach.
The first track, Gazelle is a real ear-opener!
Listening to the preview of this, Shallow by Porya Hatami. Just ordered the CD. Lovely.
