I picked this up from a $1 vinyl bin and it's really good. Apparently it was a record made specifically for BBC broadcasts; it has a song list sheet that includes where to insert station id's. A pretty cool find; sort of reminds me of a quieter, folkier Mission of Burma, but still lots of good guitar noise.
Jah Wobble's Solaris - Live in Concert
Back in the early days of my time on emusic when all tracks were a credit a track I happened across this in the search for albums with a small number of very long tracks, thus proving that placing quantity ahead of quality sometimes leads to good things. Still like it a lot. But then, look at the line-up. Funny to think none of those names would have meant much to me at the time. (If you like Can, this will appeal)

Wow!
Thomas Köner - Daikan.
A Masterpiece.
Sludge from Canada. Impressive stuff, if you can stomach it. Well worth NYOP (and maybe a little more).

Can't work out what I have done wrong - anyway it is Dave Brubeck's Fortieth Anniversary UK tour CD
This has worked OK, so not sure about earlier attempt. Thanks for the suggestion PaulR, but it wasn't that...
ETA: - Thanks BT.
Montserrat Figueras - Lux Femin
Jah Wobble and Marconi Union - Anomic.
Really excellent recent release.
Don't they look young? But I was only 18 when this was released, so I must have changed too...
Soothing soulful sounds to refresh my tired brain as I near the end of a weekend-long work marathon *-*
Followed by
Janek Schaefer - Lay-by Lullaby
(Do US folk know what a lay-by is? Maybe the US release should have been called "rest area lullaby" or something.)
I had never heard the term lay-by. But I looked it up.

Janek Schaefer - Lay-by Lullaby
...yes, again. Great album, and perfect to work to.
ETA, this and the recent Porya Hatami release are in the hopper for my best of 2014 list!
Soundtrack for an imaginary sci-fi/horror film from the seventies. Quite good. NYOP
