Wow @Doofy. A real coincidence because I'm including Smith's, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" as part of an Independence Day radio show that I'm putting together this afternoon. It's included on that "best of." (!)
20 JFG was the name of my bands first album. I didn't know my mate had nicked it from TG. It was recorded about 2 months later and our "group" was called The Distal Convoluted Tubules" mainly because my mate was doing a postal A-Level in Biology before becoming a nurse. There's more to this but I won't bore you with it.
The Chicago jazz scene is pretty excited about Marquis As on last week's Jeff Parker release, Makaya McCraven on drums is part of the trippy, hip-hoppy feel
That's pretty cool; two months later as in 2 months after the TG album? Well if you ever find a way to post a copy somewhere let me know!

Yeah 2 months later because it was stolen from I think a Record Mirror review of T.G. that my mate read. It was all amateur noise making my drumming on pillows with knitting needles, (crochet needles for the quiet bits) short wave radio etc. it was in fact a joke but I took it further with a couple of later records but NO musicianship was involved. Only musical instrument ever used was a harmonica that I couldn't play. My dog's howling was prominent ;-) Only one tape copy of each of the albums existed... (and I am grateful; though my wife heard them and claimed to enjoy - not impartial evidence though is it?)
@djh, with one copy of each made, do you realize this puts your releases in the same category as the famous Wu Tang Clan release that sold for $2 million?

Meanwhile...Hard to remember there was a time when I thought I only needed one Jimmy Smith Blue Note CD
And thanks, @rostasi, for the Holmgreen video, enjoyed that.
