Just bought this boxed set of albums mainly from the 1980s. Currently playing the first from 1979. If you don't know Rickie Lee Jones, this one is a good place to start. Recommended for a listen if you are able to do so to one or two here, such as Kez and Amc2
As it happens, I just added that 1st R.L.J. CD to an Amazon order for 5 bucks (with Auto-Rip). I saw Rickie a couple years ago, she is funny and puts on a great show. What a wonder that album was, back in the day...There are not many pop songs that everbody loves like "Chuck E's in Love." I always associate this with the "John Cougar" album, which came out around the same time...A couple of fresh, new, hard-to-classify voices.
Meanwhile...I think this was one of the first albums I bought at eMu
@Doofy - I didn't realise RLJ was still playing. I saw her in the early 80s soon after Pirates was released. I hadn't heard of her at that point and a friend persuaded me and a couple of other friends to go to see her play. I was convinced and bought the first two LPs.

A lot of great Cantaloupe release via drip.fm, but the Icebreaker albums are some of my faves.
